Victor Borge: Caught In The Act

Victor Borge (b. January 3, 1909, Copenhagen, Denmark – d. December 23, 2000, Greenwich, Connecticut) was a humorist, entertainer and world-class pianist affectionately known as the Clown Prince of Denmark and the Great Dane.He was a popular artist in his native Denmark until he - as an outspoken jew - had to escape from the nazi occupation to USA. After having learned the English language he adapted his comedy routines. Quickly he became very popular, winning Best New Radio Performer of the Year in 1942.His combination of top class classical music and hilarious comedy has been of great importance. He continued to perform all over the world until his death in 2000 shortly before his 91st birthday.
